Massachusetts. We are on the outskirts of the city. The campus has the main convent, a
smaller convent, chaplain's house, a 123 bed nursing home, an adult day health center
and a child day care center. Our grounds are rather extensive and there is room to expand our ministries in the area. Of course, in order to extend our ministries and further our Mission we look forward to women who would be interested in sharing our vision and our life as Sisters of Jesus Crucified and the Sorrowful Mother. The Sisters of Jesus Crucified have served the Church for 75 years in the ministries of education and healthcare. Our day begins by praying together
in our convent chapel. After Mass we are off to our varied ministries either in parish schools, nursing homes or community duties. In the evening we gather together for evening prayer and then, if there are no other obligations spend the evening reading or socializing with each other. Each Sister sets aside some time during the day for meditation, spiritual reading, praying the Rosary and Stations of the Cross. Our specific devotion is to the Passion of Jesus and the Sorrows of Mary. Time for relaxation is important to a healthy, well balanced spiritual life and each Sister is encouraged to pursue her individual interests.What is necessary to enter the Poor Sisters of Jesus Crucified and the Sorrowful Mother? The emotional and intellectual maturity for making a permanent commitment to God within a religious community.
